Rate Disclaimer

Last Updated: February 8, 2026

The interest rates, annual percentage rates (APRs), repayment terms, loan amounts, eligibility requirements, and other loan details displayed on this website are provided for informational and comparison purposes only. They are illustrative and subject to change at any time without notice.

Rates and Terms

  • Rate ranges shown represent the lowest and highest rates reported by the lender. Most borrowers will not receive the lowest rate shown.
  • Variable rates may increase or decrease over the life of the loan.
  • Fixed rates remain the same for the life of the loan and are typically higher than introductory variable rates.
  • All rates shown include any autopay discount (typically 0.25%).
  • Always verify current rates directly with the lender.

Your Actual Rate

Your actual interest rate depends on multiple factors including your credit score, income, debt-to-income ratio, cosigner creditworthiness, loan amount, repayment term, enrollment status, program, and autopay enrollment. We do not determine your rate. Only the lender can determine your actual rate after evaluation.

Credit Inquiries

Many lenders offer rate checks through a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. A hard credit inquiry, which may temporarily lower your credit score, typically occurs only when you submit a formal loan application.

Loan Eligibility

Display of a lender on this website does not guarantee approval or eligibility. Lenders have their own eligibility criteria. Not all lenders serve all states, programs, or institution types.

Federal Loans First

You should exhaust all federal student loan options before considering private student loans. Federal loans generally offer lower fixed rates, income-driven repayment, loan forgiveness programs, and other borrower protections not typically available with private loans.

No Endorsement

The inclusion of any lender on this website does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by The Gap Funding Group LLC. We are not a lender, loan broker, loan servicer, or financial advisor.
